The Shaw Conference Centre has an immediate opening for a full-time Pot Washer / Cleaner position. Reporting to the Chief Steward, this person will be responsible for ensuring all cooking pots, pans and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and are free of grease, and that items are properly stored in designated areas. The Pot Washer is also responsible to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and all equipment. 

Requirement:

• Grade 12 or GED equivalent, or combination of education, training and/or experience
• Experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a commercial kitchen
• Must be available 24/7
• Physical Strength (e.g. Push / Pull), Ability to lift up to 30 kg
• You must have reliable means of transportation from and to work
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation controls and use of cleaning supplies
• Knowledge of WHMIS
• Excellent oral communication skills, able to express oneself clearly
• Demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude
