Religions and Places of Worship

Religious diversity and tolerance are a strong part of the local culture in Edmonton. The country’s first mosque was built here in 1938.

Places of worship for every major religion can be found in Edmonton. Along with many  churches of the Christian denomination, you will find mosques, synagogues, and Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist temples.
