The City of Edmonton Services

City Hall is located on the north side of Sir Winston Churchill Square in downtown Edmonton. Its neoclassical stature and unique glass pyramids hold our municipal government (composed of Mayor Stephen Mandel and 12 councillors representing various city wards or districts).

Aside from the daily business of governing the city, the City of Edmonton provides numerous services that are essential to our quality of life.

Edmonton has one of the world’s best waste management and recycling systems. The city’s water treatment provides safe, drinkable tap water. There are programs for youth, seniors, families, and people with special needs. There is even a service for lost pets. For information on these and all other city services, like bus routes and schedules, visit the city website.
