Thank You Edmonton Rules and Regulations
To qualify, entrant must complete the Thank You Edmonton entry form. No purchase necessary to enter or win however entrant must have hosted a friend or relative in Greater Edmonton.
Starting June 8 ,2011 entrants may qualify to enter.
Contest open to legal residents of Canada (except the province of Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. The first contest runs from12:01 a.m. – Mountain Time on June 8 until 11:59 p.m. July 31. Draw will be made after 12:00 p.m. noon on August 1. The second contest starts 12:00 a.m. August 1 until 11:59 p.m. August 31. Draw will be made after 12:00 noon on September 1. Winner will be notified via phone and their name will be posted on this website.

To be eligible to win, an entrant must complete all information fields within the entry form.
Prizes
One prize per contest. Market value will vary dependent on participating partner (see prize descriptions on website). Prize has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, returned or refunded. One winner will be randomly selected at 12 noon Mountain Time on August 1 and one on August 31. Winner will be contacted by phone.
Awarding Prizes
The winner for each contest is randomly selected from all entries received prior to entry deadline into the contest database. Random selection program will be executed by a representative of Edmonton Tourism at 9990 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T5J 1P7. The chances of winning the random draws will depend on the number of entries received.
Entries
"Edmonton Tourism" (A division of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation) is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected electronic transmissions of messages. Entries are not transferable. All entries become the property of "Edmonton Tourism" (A division of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation). If for any reason the Internet portion of program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of EEDC which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this contest, EEDC reserves the right at is sole discretion, to disqualify an individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. EEDC assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of entries. EEDC is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by EEDC on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants’ or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest.
Caution: Any attempt by a contestant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, EEDC, reserves the right to seek damages from any such contestant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Winner Notification
The prizewinner will be notified by phone and will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded with within 10 working days of sending. Non-compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. No substitutions for the prize except by "Edmonton Tourism" (A division of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation). By submitting an entry, you accept and agree to be bound by these rules. Entrants further grant to EEDC the right to use and publish their proper name on line and in print in ay other media in connection with the contest. By entering participants release and hold harmless EEDC its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, directors, officers, employees and agents from any all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connections the contest or prize won, including any travel related thereto.
Eligibility
The contest is open to all Canadian residents (except residents of Quebec), except employees and their families of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation and representatives, agents, advertising and promotional agencies and persons with whom they are domiciled or any advertisers of the Edmonton Tourism 'Thank You Edmonton’ Summer Campaign. This includes but is not limited to: City of Edmonton Attractions, Destination Marketing Hotels, Edmonton & Area TDR, Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site, TELUS World of Science-Edmonton, Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village/Kalyna Country, and West Edmonton Mall.
General
Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules. This contest is governed by the laws of Canada. This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and local applicable law and regulations. Void where taxed, restricted or prohibited by law. All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner. The personal information collected from you is collected under the authority of S.33 (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be used to administer visitor profile and tourism database collection for the tourism department of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation. Aggregated data will be used for program planning, evaluation and Edmonton Tourism collateral dispersal at the individual’s request.
