Winter Live All Year 2012 Official Rules and Regulations

The Edmonton Tourism 'Edmonton. Live All Year!' Winter Campaign grand prize. 

To qualify, entrant must correctly answer one trivia question on Greater Edmonton. Answers are contained within the digital tabloid and contained on the www.edmonton.com/liveallyear website. No purchase necessary to enter or win.

Starting January 6, 2012 entry forms may be mailed to: Edmonton Tourism at 9990 Jasper Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T5J 1P7 or entered online at www.edmonton.com/liveallyear.

Contest open to legal residents of Canada (except the province of Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. One entry per household, per phone number. Multiple e-mail entries will be discarded. Mailed entries must be received prior to February 27, 2012 to be included in the draw. Grand prize draw is 12 Noon - Mountain Time, February 28, 2012. Winners will be notified via phone and their name (and possibly picture) posted on this website.

How to Enter

Simply fill out the entry form found on the back of the direct mail piece and mail to: Edmonton Tourism at 9990 Jasper Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T5J 1P7.

Or, complete the on-line entry within this website. One entry per household, per phone number, per contest.

To be eligible to win, an entrant must complete all information fields within the entry form, which includes correctly answering one trivia questions on Greater Edmonton, before the drawing deadline.

Prizes

One prize per contest. Market value will vary dependent on participating partner (see prize descriptions on website). Prize package has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, returned or refunded. One winner for the grand prize will be drawn 12 Noon - Mountain Time, February 28, 2012   Prize will be awarded February 29, 2012 by 4:00 p.m. Winner will be contacted by phone.

Awarding Prizes

The winner for each contest is randomly selected from all entries received prior to entry deadline into the contest database. The random selection program will be executed by a representative of Edmonton Tourism at 9990 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T5J 1P7. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of valid entries received.

Entries

“Edmonton Tourism” (A division of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation) is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected electronic transmissions of messages. Entries are not transferable. All entries become the property of “Edmonton Tourism” (A division of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation). Any attempts by an individual to access the site via script or other brute force attack will result in that IP address becoming ineligible. Sponsor not responsible for incomplete transmission defaults, computer server failure and/or delayed, garbled or corrupted data transmitted by participants via the Internet. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel online portion of the Contest without notice if Web site becomes infected with a virus, is otherwise technically corrupted, or is overloaded. By entering this Contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final, binding and conclusive on all matters.

Winner Notification

The winner will be notified by phone and will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and a liability and publicity release which must be returned within 20 days of sending or an alternative winner will be selected. No substitutions for the prize except by “Edmonton Tourism” (A division of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation). By submitting an entry, you accept and agree to be bound by these rules.

Eligibility

The contest is open to all Canadian residents (except residents of Quebec), except employees and their families of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation and representatives, agents, advertising and promotional agencies and persons with whom they are domiciled or any advertisers of the Edmonton Tourism Summer Campaign. This includes but is not limited to:  124 St. & Area Business Association, City of St. Albert, Destination Marketing Hotels, Devonian Botanical Gardens, Edmonton & Area TDR, Edmonton Festival City, Edmonton Tourism, Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Northlands, Old Strathcona Business Association, TELUS World of Science-Edmonton, Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, and West Edmonton Mall.

The contest is subject to all federal, provincial and local applicable law and regulations. Void where taxed, restricted or prohibited by law. The personal information collected from you is collected under the authority of S.33 (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be used to administer visitor profile and tourism database collection for the tourism department of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation. Aggregated data will be used for program planning, evaluation and Edmonton Tourism collateral dispersal at the individual’s request
