Edmonton Film Friendly Facts

No location fee is charged for filming on streets (including alleys, sidewalks, or other public right-of-ways when these are temporarily removed from public use) and for the use of City controlled property. We work on a cost recovery basis.

We work on a cost recovery basis, and depending on the size and scope of your event, civic service costs may be incurred by your organization (e.g. road closures, special event policing, medical services, etc.)

All events on road right-of-ways require a Special Event Roadway permit, or Parade/Procession permit with the exception of block parties.

Erection of tents and/or other structure may require additional permits.

All events held on road-right-way or City of Edmonton property require a minimum of $2 million liability insurance in favor of the City of Edmonton.
