The following major events are scheduled at the Shaw Conference Centre during November 2008:

Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, 2008 – Alberta Assessment Consortium (AAC) Fall Conference

Nov. 1, 2008 – Oktoberfest to Rocktoberfest (this event is sold out)

The ever-popular Oktoberfest to Rocktoberfest is back. Join emcee George Kash and the Black Forest
Band for another year of festivities. Tickets are $30 plus GST and include: an Oktoberfest 2008 mug, a Bavarian feast, and a chance to win great prizes, such as a trip to Germany. Rocktoberfest gets into full swing at midnight with Canada’s own Kim Mitchell.

Nov. 5, 2008 – Spotlight on Research Breakfast

Nov. 6, 2008 – Gold Medal Plates

Savour food, wine, and music performances by Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy, as 10 of Edmonton’s top chefs compete for gold in support of Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Nov. 7, 2008 – Premier’s Cowboy Round-Up Awards Breakfast

Nov. 11-14, 2008 – AAMDC Fall 2008 Centennial Convention

Nov. 14, 2008 – Heart 2 Art Gala

The City of Edmonton Youth Council is hosting this gala for the winners of the Heart 2 Art contest. Nov. 27-30, 2008 – Festival of Trees

Featuring hundreds of trees and festive decorations, children’s activities, live entertainment, holiday treats and gift shops, the Festival of Trees will delight visitors of all ages.
