International event to boost Edmonton Tourism
Edmonton Tourism shines at international tourism event
More than 1,500 tourism professionals will spend three days in Edmonton, May 13 -16, 2012, for the 36th anniversary of Rendez-vous Canada (RVC) — Canada’s premier international tourism marketplace.
Recognized internationally as a premier tourism event, representatives from international buyers including foreign tour operators, wholesalers and packagers from the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Latin America and North America, all eager to find new products, services and packages, will have an opportunity to network with sellers and explore the latest Canadian tourism products and services.
“Edmonton Tourism is honoured to host Rendez-vous Canada 2012,” says Ken Fiske, vice president of Tourism and Special Events of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation. “RVC is a great opportunity for Edmonton Tourism to show off our city and what we have to offer to all visitors to Canada. Attendees to Edmonton will be amazed at the activities planned and will join us in celebrating Canada’s Festival City.”
Expected to generate over $400 million in business transacted over the three-day conference, RVC 2012 promises to be a remarkable experience full of many colourful surprises.
Lead by the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), the event is held annually in a different Canadian city, and staged by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) on behalf of CTC.
