June 10, 2009 – The Greying Nation Conference 2009: Keeping Ahead of the Wave
The conference will address how the health-care sector can prepare for the influx of seniors requiring services - the first baby boomers will be turning 65 in 2011. Topics will include: innovative technologies to support functional and cognitive abilities, adaptive housing, 'green' living, aging well and perspectives on aging as expressed through the visual and performing arts. These topics will be explored in depth by internationally recognized speakers, including Dr. David Suzuki, a Canadian science broadcaster and environmentalist. The ICLEI World Congress (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) takes place
